Profile
Sougata Banerjee is a CBIZ CPAs shareholder and managing director in the Firm’s Costa Mesa office. He also serves on the Board of Directors for CBIZ CPAs. He has more than 25 years of experience providing assurance services, including audits of financial statements and internal controls, as well as IPOs, M&A and consulting services to clients nationally and internationally in a wide range of industries. Prior to joining Marcum, Sougata worked at a Big Four accounting firm for over 15 years in various parts of the world.
Sougata has worked with private and publicly held companies in a variety of industries including digital assets, software, life sciences and medical technology, consumer and industrial products, energy, utilities and renewable energy, and healthcare. His experience includes initial public offerings, due diligence services, Sarbanes- Oxley 404 implementation, compliance audits, and complex financing transactions.
Sougata has also served as a national instructor for a Big Four firm and has published whitepapers in various accounting topics. Sougata possesses Bengali and Hindi language skills and has extensively travelled through Asia and Europe.
