Christine McAlarney joined the organization in 2010, and she serves as MHM’s National Director of Audit Methodology. She has more than 19 years of experience providing attest services to SEC registrants including both domestic and international companies. Her relevant industry experience includes real estate and mortgage servicing, manufacturing, distribution, biopharmaceutical, insurance and health care. She was an engagement shareholder on one of the largest SEC registrants at MHM and had no PCAOB inspection comments on the last inspection results for this engagement.
Christine leads the Audit Methodology Steering Committee,which is the team responsible for monitoring and interpreting new and existingaudit and attest standards, developing and maintaining the firm’s audit andattest methodologies and Audit and Attest Manual. She also served as a memberof the AICPA’s Auditing and Attestation subcommittee, where she oversaw theacquisition and review of CPA examination questions and test pools, andcurrently serves as a technical advisor on the Auditing Standards Board.
Christine is a technical resource for the application of PCAOB audit standards and the firm’s related audit methodology. She is also a member of MHM’s Professional Standards Group, where she provides accounting knowledge leadership in the areas of derivative financial instruments, share-based compensation, fair value, complex debt and equity transactions and more. Christine also participates in MHM’s national training programs as an instructor, and she is the technical director of the Kreston Global Audit Group.
